Sami Stormont – (girls basketball): Stormont had another monster week for the Ravens. She set a school record, and career high, on Tuesday with 42 points in a 62-44 win over Ferndale. She also had 13 rebounds and four steals. On Friday, she had a game-high 21 points in a 49-34 win over Hazel Park. Stormont is the first two-time nominee for the Patch Athlete of the Week.

John Yurich –  (boys swimming): Yurich was in top form on Thursday in a meet against Rochester. He participated in four events and placed in all four. He finished second in the 100-yard butterfly (56.49) and 100 backstroke (1:02.01). He also helped his team pick up two first-place finishes in two separate relay races – the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle.

Shannon Wilson –  (girls basketball): Andover had a busy week and so did Shannon Wilson. She had 13 points, six assists and eight steals in a 61-31 win over Hazel Park on Monday. On Tuesday, the point guard had a game-high 22 points in a 63-40 win over Berkley. Wilson came back on Friday with 15 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals in a 58-45 win over Oak Park.

DeShawn Gilbert – (boys basketball): Gilbert was the leading scorer in two really big games for Clawson this week. On Tuesday, he had 13 points in a 41-35 win over Marysville then on Friday he had 15 points in a 48-39 win over second-place St. Clair Shores Lakeview.
