I've had dogs run out of front doors, across the street, jerk the leash out of their owners hand, run out of a garage, etc etc. I try to stay aware of loose dogs, leashed dogs, etc that are walking on the same block...but I really can't tell you how many times I've heard, "OMG, I'm so sorry!" Seriously scares the hell out of me and the dog! I swoop him up and don't really know why I haven't been bit in the face yet. I had a police friend of mine tell me that she tells her friends to carry Raid Wasp Spray. It sprays out in a 20-25 foot straight stream. And it burns like heck. LOL! I forgot to ask her if I could be arrested for spraying that on a dog. Until then, I only go when my husband can go with me. So sad....
