The battle of the unbeatens in Birmingham Friday night could be the Channel 7 Meijer Game of the Week, with your help.
The 7 p.m. tilt between the Groves Falcons and Seaholm Maples on Maple Field had a slim edge with 46 percent of the vote Wednesday morning, according to wxyz.com. Voting ends tonight, and the winner will be announced Thursday morning.
Channel 7 sports reporter Brad Gali will report live from the field on game day during the 5 p.m. And 6 p.m. News broadcasts. Highlights if the game will also be featured Friday night and Sunday night.
In addition to bragging rights within the district, the game is Seaholm's homecoming, punctuated by a 90th year anniversary, and the game will have big implications. Both teams are 7-0 and tied for the lead in the OAA Blue Division.
