Rivalry Match-up Honors Seaholm Coach Nick Deane

Seaholm showed their true colors Friday night with a 'red out' at the Seaholm vs. Groves varsity football game.

Red colored Friday night's varsity football game at Maple Field between and .

In honor of , head football coach for Seaholm who died last spring of a heart attack, both student bodies worked together to sell T-shirts for a "" T-shirts were on sale at the game, with the phrase 'saving a life is a real sport' on a front and team names on the back. Proceeds from the T-shirt sales before and during the game went toward the American Heart Association.

"The support for raising awareness from this community has been phenomenal," said Cindie DeWolf, youth marketing director for the American Heart Association. "This is truly a wonderful tribute to the coach."

Seaholm junior Erin Brown agreed.

"I like the 'red out,' it really helps bring out the spirit of the coach," Brown said.

Likewise, Seaholm junior Caitlyn Ciemniecki said, "It's great to give back and have fun doing it."
