Groves, Seaholm Matchup is Channel 7's Game of the Week

The stakes couldn't be higher. And fans of both Birmingham Groves and Birmingham Seaholm recognized that by voting Friday night's meeting between the cross-district rivals as Channel 7's Meijer Game of the Week with 52 percent of the vote. 

Undefeated seasons are on the line for both the Groves Falcons and Seaholm Maples when they clash at 7 p.m. at Seaholm's homecoming. Pride, playoff positioning, and a chance to seal the OAA Blue Division will all be decided by the final whistle.

Channel 7 sports reporter Brad Gali will report live from the field on game day during the 5 p.m. And 6 p.m. news broadcasts. Highlights if the game will also be featured during Friday night's news cast and Sunday night's sports roundup.

Heading to the game? Show up at 6 p.m. for a free tailgating party hosted by the Birmingham Education Foundation. Hot dogs, beverages and pom-pons will be available, with entertainment provided by both marching bands.
