Birmingham Covington Celebrates School Spelling Bee Winners

Two seventh grade students took the top two spots in the school's annual spelling bee.


Seventh graders Laya Kumar and Tejal Mahajan recently finished first, and second, respectively, in the the Covington School Spelling Bee. Students in fifth through eighth grades participated at the annual event, according to a news release from the Birmingham Public Schools

Principal Mark Morawski acted as the moderator during the spelling bee.
