Police Investigate Possible Overdose Death in Bloomfield Township

The 29-year-old man's body was discovered at the Fox Hills Apartments.

The Bloomfield Township Police Department and the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the death of a man found in his Bloomfield Township residence last week, officials said.

The 29-year-old man, who police did not identify, likely died of a drug overdose, on Dec. 7 at the Fox Hills apartments — located off Opdyke, north of Square Lake — a report stated.

Officers and members of the Bloomfield Township Fire Department responded to reports of possible death in the 400 block of N. Fox Hills and found the man unresponsive. They transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators said they will awaiting the toxicology reports before determining any cause or official manner of death.
