A Bloomfield Hills teenager recently helped police find the suspect he believed stole his mother's purse.
According to an article in the Oakland Press, the 16-year-old's mother noticed her purse missing last Sunday while out to dinner with her family in Birmingham. The family called police and then went out looking for a possible suspect who was described by restaurant staff, the article states.
The Cranbrook student spotted the woman outside of the Birmingham 8 Theatre and alerted police. The woman was arrested and later arraigned on one charge of larceny, according to the report.
