Graffiti Discovered at Booth Park, Peabody Parking Garage

Police find graffiti in Booth Park
Police are investigating graffiti was discovered in on Monday afternoon. According to police reports, an unknown number of people had spray- painted various messages on the north side of the tower bordering the entrance of Booth Park. The graffiti referred to the police and included the initials "RAB" and "GHS." Police say they aren't sure when the incident occured.
Graffiti, broken windows at parking garage
Broken windows were discovered in the , as well as graffiti. According to police reports, parking structure employees said the windows were broken sometimes between noon Dec. 30 and 7 a.m. Dec. 31. The windows were broken on the fourth and fifth level in the northeast stairwell, police said, while the graffiti said "treaures" and "JG."

Man leaves Kroger with liquor bottles in his backpack, charged with retail fraud
A 19-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested just outside the Birmingham on Dec. 30 for stealing two bottles of liquor. According to police reports, store employees saw the man enter the liquor section and put two bottles of liquor in his backpack. The man then walked through the store, picked up a few small items and paid for them at the check-out. He walked out, then, without paying for the liquor.
According to police reports, the man walked to another parking lot along Woodward Avenue, where police officers caught up with him. The man was taken into custody for retail fraud.
