Garage Windows Shot With Pellet Gun in Birmingham

The Birmingham Police Department provided the following information. Arrests, where they are mentioned, do not indicate conviction.

Officers with the Birmingham Police Department are investigating who shot the windows out of a garage to a home in the 500 block of Harmon last week. Police responded to the home at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 12 and found two double-paned windows with pellet holes in the exterior glass, reports said.

The resident told police they did not know anyone that would damage their property, or anyone with a pellet gun. There were no witnesses, and no suspect information was available, reports said. Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 248-530-1852.

Officers are also investigating another suspicious but unrelated incident outside a home on Humphrey Street last week, according to reports.

A resident in the 1800 block of Humphrey reported that a man parked his truck on the front lawn at about 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 and began knocking on the front door. Police responded and determined the 29-year-old man from Royal Oak was intoxicated. They also found a half-empty bottle of alcohol  in the truck and arrested him without incident. Officers issued citations for operating while intoxicated and having an open intoxicant in a vehicle.
