Donations Stolen From Birmingham's Holy Name Church
The Birmingham Police Department provided the following information.
Officers with the Birmingham Police Department are looking for tips to help find those responsible for stealing cash from a donation box at the Holy Name Church.
An employee at the church called police on shortly after 5 p.m. on Jan. 16 after she discovered the church's donation box wide open inside the building, police reports said. An unknown amount of cash was missing from inside the box, which is normally closed and only accessible with a key.
Officers that responded to the scene noted the box had visible pry marks on it. There were no witnesses and no suspect information was available.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call the department at 248-530-1852.
