Birmingham Police Investigating 3 Home Invasions

are investigating after three home invasions occurred during the day Friday, July 13.

According to police reports, the home invasions took place on the 1500 block of Ashford Lane, the 1100 block of Davis and the 400 block of Hanna.

Birmingham Police Chief Don Studt said police aren't sure whether the break-ins are related. All three break-ins occured nearly a mile apart from one another, with the home on Ashford nearly two miles north of Davis.

According to Studt, the break-ins occured during the afternoon of July 13. No one was at home at the time of the break-ins and only a few items were taken from each house.

The entry was different in each break-in, however. According to police reports, the home on Ashford was entered through an open garage door. On Davis, police say a pry bar was used to force open a sliding glass door. Meanwhile, the home on Hanna was entered after a suspect or suspects broke the glass front door.

Studt said Birmingham Police are currently investigating the break-ins.

"These things get solved when someone gets caught at one them and fesses up to more," he said.
