It's Thanksgiving 2013 in Birmingham
Time to celebrate food, family and hopefully, a little fun on Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving! Families will gather today to give thanks and celebrate long-standing traditions, and maybe even for new ones.
Several local Birmingham school students recently had a new experience when "Tom" Turkey form the Bowers School Farm in Bloomfield Township recently visited Beverly Elementary School. Students in kindergarten through fourth grade had the opportunity to pet the turkey and learn a little more about the animal while learning about Thanksgiving traditions.

Students interesting turkey facts, which many may share today with their families at the Thanksgiving table. Afterwards, they participated in several turkey crafts.
