After the Celebrate Birmingham parade, head over to the Birmingham Historical Museum and Park for a special family fun day.
Follow Bill Olsen's 1924 fire truck to the museum after the parade for a special event celebrating the Birmingham Fire Department. See the old engine side by side with the department's new, multi-million dollar pumper, talk to local firefighters, and get a free smoke detector.
Stop by to visit with some four-legged firefighters' friends at the Dalmatian dog rescue booth, and be sure to check out the exhibit at the museum: "Birmingham's Fire Department: 100 Years of Service." Outdoor events are free.
