“A SEASON OF GOODWILL” PROVIDES HOLIDAY GIFTS TO FAMILIES IMPACTED BY EMPLOYMENT CHALLENGES
Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit, 89x and Biggby Coffee locations across Metro Detroit partner for A Season of Goodwill.
Beginning Friday, November 23 through Tuesday, December 4 Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit, 89x The Only New Rock Alternative and Biggby Coffee will be working together to collect new toys during “A Season of Goodwill.”
With any donation of a new, unwrapped toy at one of the 29 participating Biggby Coffee locations throughout Metro Detroit, patrons receive $1 off any Grande or Super specialty beverage. Each day of the campaign, a guest barista from 89X will be serving up coffee with a smile at one of the participating locations. All donations and 100 percent of tips earned by guest baristas contribute directly to the success of Goodwill’s annual Santa Shop. Details on locations and times will be available at http://www.89xradio.com and http://www.goodwilldetroit.org.
“The Santa Shop offers families a chance to actively participate in the holiday season by providing Goodwill program participants the opportunity to shop for gifts for their families at little or no cost. We are proud of the community support this initiative receives annually and look forward to another successful year spreading the holiday spirit in Detroit,” said Lorna Utley, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit.
