Birmingham Bloomfield Cultural Arts Award to Laurie Tennent-Public Invited to BBAC to Honor Her
Join the community in celebrating this year's Cultural Arts Award winner, Laurie Tennent, at the BBAC on Friday. Ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m.
Tennent is being honored for what this year's jury called a 'benevolent lens’ for her professional
achievements as a renowned art and commercial photographer as well as her wide
impact on the community. She consummately uses her talent and close ties to the
artistic community for civic and philanthropic efforts for the betterment of
many, benefiting groups such as Kids
Kicking Cancer, Haven, Michigan AIDS Coalition, Art Road, The Pink Fund and The
Kelly Fund for the Center for Creative Studies.
A community coalition of The Community House, The Birmingham Bloomfield Cultural Council, the Birmingham Eccentric and the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center co-sponsor this annual community award.
