• Why Go: Looking for some great deals? There will be a large garage sale this weekend at 852 Henley St. featuring clothes for toddler boys (from the Gap, Hannah Anderson, Naartjie, Janie & Jack, Mini Moden, Uggs and Puma). All clothes in good condition. There will also be maternity clothes and furniture, featuring two dining room sets and bookcases.

• Why Go: State Sen. John Pappageorge (R-Troy), who's district includes Birmingham, will be holding office hours at the Baldwin Public Library Saturday. Come with questions or come with concerns.

• Why Go: Looking for something to do with the kids Friday afternoon? Take them to Joel Tacey's Pajama Jam Comedy Show! Michigan's funnyman will present his wacky new show for 2012, including magic tricks, classic bedtime stories and other big surprises. Make sure the kids are in their pajamas too. All ages are welcome.
