One suspect was found near the Our Shepherd Lutheran School on Lincoln, forcing the school to go into lockdown Wednesday morning.

Birmingham Throws Its Support Behind Gran Fondo Bike Race
The 54-mile Woodward Avenue bike race from Detroit to Pontiac and back is sponsored by the Woodward Avenue Action Association and is tentatively scheduled for June 30, 2013.
Preliminary designs for a reconstructed South Old Woodward were approved by the Birmingham City Commission Monday night as the city looks to apply for federal funding for the project.
