Get Out: Classical Brunch, Glee Club Concert and Vintage Jewelry Sale

From Royal Oak Restaurant Week to a band dance and dinner, there's something for everyone this weekend.

  1. Where:
    When: 7:30 p.m. Friday
    Why go: Founded in 1859, The University of Michigan Men's Glee Club is one of the oldest collegiate choruses in the United States and the oldest continually run student organization on the Michigan campus. Tickets cost $15.

  2. Where:
    When: Noon Sunday
    Why go: A one-hour brunch is followed by a performance featuring  mezzo-soprano Leah Dexter of the Michigan Opera Theatre, accompanied by Kathryn Goodson on piano.

  3. Where: The Marriott at Centerpoint, 3600 Centerpoint Parkway in Pontiac
    When: 7 p.m. Friday
    Why go: Everyone is welcome to attend "Fly Me to the Moon," which will feature dinner with music from the Seaholm Jazz Bands, dancing and a raffle. Proceeds from the dinner will be used for the band.

  4. Where: Birmingham Unitarian Church, 38651 Woodward Ave. in Bloomfield Hills
    When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday
    Why go: The show will feature antique, costume and designer jewelry as well as vintage apparel from many local businesses, including the Wachler Estate Collection. Admission costs $5 for adults; children younger than 12 are free.

  5. Where: Royal Oak restaurants
    When: Friday-April 2
    Why Go: This nine-day celebration offers diners a special discounted rate, $15 for lunch or $25 for dinner, for special three-course menus. There will be 20 restaurants participating, including Andiamo, Pronto, Woody's Diner and more.
