Get Out: Antique Appraisals, 'Carmen' and Salsa Classes

From a church rummage sale to the second annual Health and Wellness Fair, there's something for everyone this weekend.

    Class begins Friday, with additional classes March 11, 18 and 25, 7-8 p.m.
    Why Go:
    Dance City is offering a four-week salsa class starting this evening.  Participants will learn basic steps and techniques while being introduced to the music and patterns of salsa dancing.

    When:
    Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
    Why Go:
    The day offers free health screenings and educational seminars. There will also be complimentary blood pressure, spinal and BMI screenings. You can also get a free chair massage and samples throughout the day from local businesses.

    Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
    Why Go:
    Saturday's rummage sale will feature furniture, toys, clothing, household goods, electronics and more up for sale.

    Why Go: The Birmingham 8 will be debuting Carmen in 3D, a new production of one of the world's most popular operas. A production of RealD and London's Royal Opera House, Carmen will only be coming to select RealD 3D Theaters across the country.

    When: Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
    Why Go: Find out if that antique is worth as much as you suspect at this upcoming BASCC fundraiser. Gary Wachler from , antique dealer Joe DelGiudice of DelGuidice Antiques and Estate Jewelry, and diamond and gem expert Brian Sanders will be at BASCC to appraise your items. They will appraise for purchase:  jewelry, silver, gold, diamonds, antiques, artworks, memorabilia, furniture and everything in between.
