Fuel Report: Mobil Station Reopens With Prices Almost 10 Cents Above Average

Gas prices staying steady this Monday morning, though with the reopening of the Mobil station at the corner of Woodward and Oak, there are more options for filling up in Birmingham this summer.

According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.76 this morning, roughly the same from a week ago.

Some of the lowest gas prices in and around southeastern Michigan can be found in Ypsilanti at $3.35 a gallon and in Southgate, at $3.39 a gallon.

In and around Birmingham on Monday morning, the cheapest price is $3.79 a gallon, found at the Speedway and Citgo stations on Woodward Avenue. At the newly reopened Mobil station and Tim Hortons, meanwhile, gas is slightly more expensive, at $3.85 a gallon.
