Fuel Report: Higher Gas Prices Greet Drivers During Slushy Commute

If they made it out on the roads this snowy, slushy Monday morning, Birmingham drivers found higher prices greeting them at the pump.

According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.37 this morning — up from $3.30 a gallon last week.

The lowest gas prices in Metro Detroit this morning, meanwhile, is $3.13 in Lake Orion and $3.15 at several gas stations in South Lyon.

In Birmingham, the lowest price you'll find is $3.35, a full ten cents more expensive than they were two weeks ago. Some gas stations around town, meanwhile, are creeping close to the $3.60 mark.
