Though Birmingham is experiencing a rainy start to the work week, the good news is that gas prices are going down.
According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.79 this morning, down from $3.80 a week ago.
Some of the lowest gas prices in and around southeastern Michigan can be found in Westland and Macomb, at $3.43 a gallon.
In and around Birmingham Monday morning, the cheapest price is $3.78 a gallon, found at the Speedway and Citgo stations on Woodward Avenue.
