The holiday weekend is over and it's time to fill up those gas tanks and get back to work. Gas prices have hit and passed the $4 mark, with the highest prices in Birmingham reaching $4.09 per gallon.
According to AAA, the price for a gallon of regular gas in Metro Detroit is $3.98 Monday morning, up from $2.84 at this time last year and $3.94 a week ago.
Some of the lowest prices in and around Metro Detroit are $3.75 in Romeo and $3.77 in Macomb.
