Fuel Report: Birmingham Gas Prices Drop 20 Cents to $3.19 a Gallon

Is Christmas coming a little early for Metro Detroit drivers? The weather may be cold and cloudy, but regional gas prices have dropped more than 15 cents Monday morning.

According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.25 this morning, down from $3.41 a week ago.

The lowest gas prices in Metro Detroit this morning can be found Fraser, where gas is an even $3 a gallon at the Marathon station at Utica and Groesbeck. Gas is also $3.02 and $3.03 in Romulus and Wayne.

In Birmingham, the lowest price you'll find is $3.19 at the Speedway and Citgo stations on Woodward — six cents below the regional average and down 20 cents from a week ago.
