These courses are available to students already admitted to the ISE degree programs, as well as to professional development students from industry; including engineering professionals from any field of engineering – Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering.
2014 Fall Semester (Sept. - Dec., 2014):
- ISE 595 Engineering Project Management is a four credit course that will be taught by former Chrysler engineer and OU alumni Bill Edwards. This course is under development with the assistance of Fulcrum Edge Inc., a firm with vast project management experience.
- ISE 495/595 PLM Applications - Configuration and Change Management will be the first in a series of two credit, hands-on application courses on various topics. Taught by Srinivas Kuppa from Siemens PLM Inc., this course will focus on the use of the Siemens PLM tool, Teamcenter, for product initiation, product design, manufacturing and procurements.
During the 2015 winter semester (Jan. - April, 2015):
- ISE 495/595 PLM Applications - Robotics is a two credit, hands-on application course to be taught by Bill Edwards. Students will obtain hands-on knowledge of the Siemens PLM tool Process Simulate - Robotics (a.k.a. RobotExpert) and will use it to conduct a series of robotics projects.
- ISE 495 Programmable Logic Controllers is a two credit, hands-on application course. Taught by ISE@OU alumnus Martin Dubois, this course will focus on hands-on applications of PLC's.

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering carries out the mission of Oakland University's School of Engineering and Computer Science by offering an undergraduate major in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
