Need To Know: Where To Enjoy Mother's Day Brunch in Birmingham

Mother's Day is just over a week away, but if you're thinking of treating mom or grandma to a Mother's Day brunch in Birmingham, you might want to make your reservations sooner rather than later.

Here's a look at some of the Birmingham restaurants offering Mother's Day specials for brunch on May 13:

• Where: 245 S. Eton St., Birmingham
• When: two seatings: 11 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1-1:30 p.m.
• Cost: $47 for adults; $22 for children ages 6-11; $7 for children 5 and younger. Cost excludes tax, valet parking and tip.
  
• What's on the menu: Brunch begins with a champagne toast followed by a variety of chef's stations, featuring everything from Asian cabbage salad, New York strip steak, salmon, omelets cooked to order and assorted mini pastries, cakes and pies.

• Cost: $29 for adults; $12 for kids; kids 5 and younger eat free
• What's on the menu: everything from carving stations, to risotto, to made-to-order omelette. Dessert is included.

• What's on the menu: Start off with ahi tuna nicoise, followed by pan-seared chicken breast. Or, go the breakfast route with buttermilk griddle pancakes and eggs benedict.

• Cost: $34.95 for adults, $16.95 for children
• What's on the menu: Fleming's will be offering a three-course brunch menu, including a blood orange fizz, fresh fruit, New Orleans-style french toast, prime rib, white chocolate bread pudding and much more. A special children's menu will also be available. Plus, moms dining on May 13 will receive a $25 dining card to enjoy on a future occasion.

• Cost: $16 for adults, $10 for children 12 and younger
• What's on the menu: Enjoy brunch and a movie at the Palladium 12. A brunch buffet will feature everything from glazed ham, seafood crepes, macaroni and cheese, eggs and french toast. Then, stick around for an included showing of either Disney's Cinderella or Ever After: A Cinderella Story.
