Congrats to Village Coney: Voted the Best Breakfast in Birmingham

Village Coney was voted to have the best breakfast in Birmingham in Patch's weekly poll.

Patch wanted to put your love of Birmingham's breakfast fare to the test and after a week of voting, Patch readers have made it clear— has the best breakfast in Birmingham.

Readers had a long list of Birmingham breakfast staples to chose from in — from the iconic on Woodward Avenue, to the Rail District favorite , to the relative newcomer .

Village Coney, a popular family-owned lunch spot on the city's east side, wasn't originally on the list until requested by several readers. Once there, the restaurant, open since 2003 on Adams Road, netted 45 votes to become Birmingham's favorite breakfast spot.

"The Village Coney in the Adams Square has hearty, home-cooked style breakfasts with a very large breakfast menu," insists Mary Rae Olsen.

On the in the Birmingham Patch directory, user "JC" says they're a fan: "Great place to grab a quick ( and good ) breakfast with a friendly staff too."
