Groves Seniors Step Up For Incoming Students

The Groves High School Big Brother Big Sister program is well under way for the 2013-14 school year.

Senior students at Groves High School are focusing on their grades and building a school community this first full week of the 2013-14 school year, officials said.

Many participated in a special program to help welcome incoming freshman to their new environment before classes began. That included helping them find their lockers, learning the building layout and meeting new friends.

It's also part of larger project called Groves Big Brother Big Sister, which is dedicated to help incoming freshman start their high school career off right at Groves Highs school, according to groups Facebook page.
