Uptown Film Festival: Friday's Schedule

The Uptown Film Festival officially kicked off yesterday in Birmingham. Here's what on the schedule today.

The second annual officially kicked off Thursday, and festival organizers have a busy schedule ready for those looking to explore and celebrate Michigan-made films and documentaries.

Besides the lineup, here's a few things you'll want to know before heading out:

  • Films will be screened Thursday through Saturday at the and  in downtown Birmingham.
  • Tickets are $10 per show and can be purchased at the door, at www.uptownpalladium.com and www.uptownfilmfestival.com.
  • Attendees may also purchase a .
  • , ranging from Metro Detroit premieres to world premieres.
  • The event will wrap up with the third annual at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Palladium. Films nominated for awards, including all short films and documentaries, will be screened throughout the festival.
