Christmas Worship Services in Birmingham

Planning on heading to your place of worship this Christmas Eve or Christmas? Here are the dates and times for various holiday services.

Christmas Eve is almost upon us, and churches throughout Birmingham will open their doors for special holiday services. Here's what you need to know:

Holy Name Catholic Church

  • Christmas Eve: Masses will be held at 4 p.m. (Children's Liturgy), 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and midnight.
  • Christmas Day: Mass begins at 10 a.m. and noon

First United Methodist Church of Birmingham

  • Christmas Eve: Services will be held at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m. (Christian Life Center), 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Communion will be offered at the 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. services.
  • Christmas Day: Services will be held at 10 a.m. The nursery will be open at this time. 

First Baptist Church

  • Christmas Eve: Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.

  • Christmas Eve: A children's program will be held at 4 p.m. Traditional candlelight services will be held at 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: Service will be held at 10 a.m.

  • Christmas Eve: Traditional candlelight services will be held at 3 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
