Man Tries to Steal Vehicle; Watch Stolen From Panera

The Birmingham Police Department provided the following information. Arrests, where they are mentioned do not indicate conviction.

Officers with the Birmingham Police Department arrested a 31-year-old Macomb man who was seen trying to break into a car in the 500 block of Purdy Street last Friday at about 9 p.m., police reports said. He was arrested without incident and charged with attempted larceny from an automobile.

Officers also found a stolen credit card in his possession. He was arraigned, given a personal bond and a court date while the incident remains under investigation. 

Larceny at Panera
A man reported his Shinola brand watch was taken while he left it unattended at  Panera Bread. The man told police he set the watch on the table when he went to refill his drink at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The watch was gone when he returned.  No suspects or witness information was available.
