Free Community Shred Day Offered in Birmingham

Residents will have the chance to safely dispose of personal documents later this month at a free community shred day offered in Birmingham.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, July 25 in the north parking lot of Seaholm High School.

The event is being offered by mBank Birmingham, the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber and E-Shred, a mobile shredding company in an effort to protect residents and businesses against identity theft, according to a post on the City of Birmingham's web site.

Up to three boxes per person will be accepted. See here for information on which documents you should keep.
