Rod Arroyo is owner / portrait photographer at Portraits by Rod, based in Birmingham, MI. He also owns City Photos and Books, Inc. which provides city and landscape photography through books, art shows, gallery showings, and online sales. He also does freelance photography for Patch. As a photographer, he enjoys creating outdoor pictures of families, newborns, children, and high school seniors. All of his work is done on location: at home, in a back yard or nearby park, strolling through a favorite downtown or in another location that has meaning to the person being photographed.
Rod as also authored eight books of photography featuring cities and neighborhoods including Birmingham, Royal Oak, Rochester, Northville, Washington, DC, and Detroit's Mexicantown. All of these books are available on Amazon.com. He also features some of his city photos on Tumblr.
