After seeing the U.S. pavilion, a geodesic dome designed by Buckminster Fuller, at the 1967 World's Fair in Monreal Canada, John Davids was determined to be an architect.

Davids studied architecture at the University of Michigan where he earned a bachelor's and master's degree and wrestled for the Wolverines for one year.

Today Davids is living his boyhood dream and is a principal at Fanning-Howey Associates, a Novi architecture firm.

Married to Judy Davids since 1981, the couple lived in Frank Llyod Wright house for year before moving to Royal in 1986.

The Davids have two sons. Dylan is a freshman at Michigan State University and Willie is a junior at Royal Oak High School.
