Yard Waste Collection Ends for Birmingham Friday

During the winter months, residents can take their yard waste to the SOCCRA facility in Troy.

There may not be snow on the ground yet, but if you've got yard waste, you better get it to your curb soon. Yard waste collection ends Friday for Birmingham residents. Pick up will resume in April 2013. If Birmingham residents do have yard waste to dispose of during the winter months, they can take it to the SOCCRA facility on Coolidge Avenue in Troy, across the street from Meijer. Yard waste is considered compostable materials such as leaves, grass clippings, vegetable or other garden debris, shrubbery, brush or tree trimmings that can be converted to compost humus. Yard waste also includes: Yard waste does not include agricultural waste, animal waste, roots, sewage sludge, stumps and other treated wood.

Beverly Hills: Tuesday Is the Last Day for Yard Waste Collection

Meanwhile, yard waste collections end for Birmingham residents next Friday.

Attention residents of Beverly Hills: yard waste collection ends today. Tuesday, Dec. 11 is the last day for curbside yard waste collection and it won't start back up again until Apri 1, 2013. According to the Village of Bevelry Hills, if residents have yard waste to dispose of during the winter months, they can take it to the SOCRRA facility on Coolidge Avenue in Troy, across the street from Meijer.
