Dream Cruise Snapshots: Night on Woodward

Even though the Dream Cruise officially ended at 9 p.m., there were still plenty of crowds and cars on Woodward long into the night.

As the night wore on and the 2012 Woodward Dream Cruise officially came to a close at 9 p.m. Saturday, the streets were busier than ever. Waving to the crowds at the intersection of Woodward and Maple, in fact, was none other than Batman. And on a bicycle, no less.  What else was happening late night on Woodward?

Dream Cruise Snapshots: Hunter House, Elvis Entertains the Lunch Crowd

There was plenty of burgers and classic tunes at Hunter House Saturday afternoon. Toppermost, a Beatles tribute band, performs until 4 p.m.

It was a busy afternoon for Hunter House Hamburgers, but that's to be expected during the Woodward Dream Cruise. Elvis (of, Fred Wolfe of Westland) entertained cruisers and the crowd Saturday afternoon in front the Hunter House, which served a constantly-rotating crowd burgers, fries and shakes. Until 4 p.m. Saturday, stop by Hunter House to hear Toppermost, a Beatles tribute band, whild DJ Boogie Brian will be spinning tunes all evening long. Also, check out why Hunter House owner Susan Cobb says the Dream Cruise is the "soul and spirit of our little classic diner" in last year's Sliders With a Side of Doo-Wop, Elvis.

Dream Cruise Snapshot: Find Your Detroit Pride

The Detroit Pride Cheerleaders were in Birmingham Saturday afternoon, cheering on the cruisers and giving away calendars.

What's a good Dream Cruise without some cheerleaders, right? Around 20 cheerleaders from Detroit Pride Cheerleaders, a professional cheer/dance squad for Detroit's sports teams, were on Woodward near Powerhouse Gym and Jax Car Wash Saturday, cheering on the cruisers and giving away calendars to passersby. The cheer team was in Birmingham until 3 p.m. Saturday.

The 98 Michigan Jaguars hockey team is riding 100 miles on Saturday to raise money.

Not everyone is driving on Saturday. The 98 Michigan Jaguars hockey team is raising money just outside of Powerhouse Gym but riding stationary bikes for a grand total of 100 miles. To support the team, the Detroit-based team is looking for as many $1 donations as they can find. To donate to the Michigan Jaguars, visit the team at the Peace Tea tent just south of Maple Road. Riding at the event Saturday is:
