Bentivolio Mobile Office Stops in Birmingham Tuesday

The office will introduce clients to the federal services that are available to them, Bentivolio says.

Saying his "number one priority" is constituent services, Congressman Kerry Bentivolio is taking his office on the road, including a stop in Birmingham on Tuesday. Bentivolio's 11th Congressional District mobile office will tour a number of communities March 19-22 to introduce constituents to the federal services that are available to them. “The 11th District Mobile Office provides our constituents with greater access to Federal services by bringing the office right into their community," Bentivolio said in a press release.  The mobile office’s April schedule will be released after the tour to these communities:  Tuesday, March 19th Wednesday, March 20th Thursday, March 21st Friday, March 22nd

Voting in Birmingham: Who's Running for U.S. Congress, Senate This November

Before you head to the polls on Nov. 6, Patch is reminding you what's on the ballot in Michigan, Oakland County and Birmingham.

The Nov. 6 general election is a little more than a week away, and Patch is looking to help Birmingham residents prepare with a quick reminder of what's on the ballot and what they need to know before they vote. The November ballot promises to be a long one. Besides picking either Mitt Romney or Barack Obama for the Commander in Chief job, voters will decide on a slate of state proposals as well consider candidates for various levels of representation in Washington, Lansing and Pontiac. In addition, Birmingham voters will be deciding on a city charter amendment and voting for two members of the Birmingham Board of Education. As Campaigns Wind Down, 11th District Race Charges Heat Up

Even relatives are drawn into the mix of odd stories coming out of the district, which now includes Birmingham.

In the final days before the Nov. 6 general election, the 11th District Congressional race has taken more twists and turns than a Six Flags roller coaster.  The race started out in strange territory, when a review of re-election petitions for former 11th District Congressman Thaddeus McCotter showed he hadn't gathered enough signatures to qualify for the ballot. McCotter aides are facing trials in connection with the campaign scandal.  Politico.com reported Nov. 1 that the brother of Republican candidate Kerry Bentivolio told Michigan Information and Research Service (MIRS), a subscription-based news service, that his brother is "mentally unbalanced". On the Ballot: Who's Running to Represent Birmingham in Washington

Patch is giving voters a look at who's running in the Aug. 7 primary, happening Tuesday.

Birmingham's August primary happens tomorrow, and there's a lot of issues and candidates on the ballot. As you prepare to go to the polls tomorrow, Patch wants to help you get a final grasp on who's running, what they stand for and what issues are on the table.
