Sledders in the Birmingham area don't need to go far to find a winter thrill, after CBS Detroit recently named the hill at Beverly Hills Village Park as one of its favorite sledding hills in Metro Detroit. The park, located on Beverly Road with parking only a short walk from the hill, also hosts a Winter Famil Fun Day on the fourth Sunday in January, the article reads. Just be careful where you slide: if you go down the steep side of the hill, you're likely to run into the forest located only 30 feet away from the bottom of the hill. Other hills that made the local round-up include the Civic Center Park in Madison Heights, Shiawassee Park in Farmington and the Rolling Hills Park in Yspilanti. That's a pansy hill in B'ham...Franklin, behind the police station is better. Or the school in Farmington, near the downtown for a little bit of a thrill. (if you go too far in FH, your in the street)   more ›
