Two Men Run Off With Stolen iPhone Covers from Radio Shack

The men entered the store last Friday morning, grabbed three iPhone covers and ran, police reports state.

Police are on the lookout for two suspects after they allegedly stole three cell phone covers from the Birmingham Radio Shack last Friday. According to Birmingham Police, the two men entered the Woodward Avenue store around 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1. Reports state the men grabbed three cell phone covers — a Galaxy 3 iPhone cover and two Otter Defender iPhone covers — and ran out of the store. The store owner told police he watched the incident happen and described the two men as medium-built, both approximately 25 years old. One was wearing a heavy green winter jacket, he said, while the other was wearing a puffy, black, waist-length winter jacket and a knit cap. Police: Drunk Driver Caught on Woodward, Man Ticketed for Urinating Outside Movie Theater

According to police reports, officers observed the woman's car driving northbound on Woodward near South Adams at about 2 a.m. According to the officer, both the woman's front and rear passenger side tires were flat. When police pulled her over, the woman failed several sobriety tests and was taken into custody, reports state. The woman was held until sober, posted bond and was later released. Birmingham Police Investigate Rash of Downtown Thefts

Items were taken from several downtown Birmingham shops, from Bec and Sam's to Backcountry North, in two separate incidents last Saturday.

Several suspects are wanted in connection with a string of thefts at various Birmingham shops along Maple Road last Saturday. According to Birmingham Police Cmdr. Terry Kiernan, police are investigating two separate incidents, during which merchandise was taken from Bec and Sam's, Anthropologie, Beauty by RX, the Spice and Tea Exchange, Sweet Thing and Backcountry North. In the first incident, police are searching for a 33-year-old woman from Dearborn Heights with several outstanding warrants from Birmingham and other area police departments. The woman is also believed to be connected to several other retail thefts in Birmingham. 4 Vehicles Broken into on Old Woodward; Employee's Wallet Taken from Complex

All four cars were parked close to each other in a parking lot at 555 S. Old Woodward, where the windows of each were broken out and items were taken, police said.
