Meet Hank! This young dog was found wandering the neighborhood, lost, hungry and cold. Every attempt has been made to find his family, but no one has come forward. So it's time to find him a home of his own. We're calling him Hank and he is a wonderful dog! He is a very friendly pup, about 1-2 years old, we think. Baby Lumiere is a little girl. She came to Paws for Life as a tiny kitten along with her littermates and mama, Dorothy. She was born in late July or early August. Lummy is a short-haired kitten with soft white fur and calico markings. She is already spayed. She uses a litterbox like a good girl and likes to play with toys and other kitties. Meet Bella! She is a two-year-old spayed short-haired kitty looking for a permanent home to call her own, where she will never be abandoned again. She is a super sweet and very loving girl. She uses her litter box and enjoys attention and companionship. She was given a home as a tiny kitten, but when her teenage owner had a baby, Bella was left at the vet's office. Meet Wistar. He's a white and gray domestic short-haired tabby who was born May 30 and rescued, along with his mother, just one week later. Wistar is very cute and uses his litterbox like a good kitten. He is very friendly, curious and outgoing. He gets along very well with other cats and dogs and loves to play, wrestle, chase toys around and climb his cat tower. He likes to watch the birds and leaves blow in the wind from the window. Pilgrim is available for adoption through Paws for Life Rescue in Troy.
Meet Pilgrim. He's a very smart, happy, loving dog. He's so smart that he actually rescued himself! On Thanksgiving Day 2011, Pilgrim saw some nice people trying to catch a stray dog. He was a stray, too, and didn't want to spend one more scary minute alone on the streets, looking for someone to help him. He saw his opportunity to get rescued, so he jumped into their car. Since he was an unexpected rescue, Paws for Life had to put him up in a boarding kennel, which is where he is now, hoping like crazy that someone will offer to foster or adopt him. It was a good thing that PFL let Pilgrim rescue himself that day in November, because he tested positive for heartworm. He was a sick boy, but his rescuers fixed him up, and now he's healthy …
