Police: Drunk Woman Drove Her Mercedes Into a Birmingham Home

Check out the latest reports from the Birmingham Police Department: Police arrested a 45-year-old Birmingham woman last Friday after she drove her Mercedes Benz into a home on Hawthorne, near Aspen. According to police reports, the incident happened around 7 p.m. Friday, March 22 on the 600 block of Hawthorne. The woman was under the influence of alcohol at the time, police say. A woman's purse was taken out of her car while she was bringing in groceries on the 2600 block of Windemere last Wednesday, March 20. According to police reports, the woman was bringing in her groceries around 5:30 p.m. Her purse was later found near a dumpster in the Coolidge and Maple area; the only thing missing was about a dollar in change. I wonder why sometimes criminals are publicly shamed with their photos being posted in the article--i.e. the female who fired a handgun in downtown birmingham, and other times the photos are not provided. I think it's only fair that this drunken birmingham woman who drove her car into someone's home be posterized on the patch like the aforementioned female who discharged her firearm. Road Rage Ends in Assault, $5,000 in Cell Phones Stolen from Verizon Store

Check out the latest reports from the Birmingham Police Department: Birmingham Police are investgating after two men reported an assault following some road rage early Tuesday morning. According to police reports, the men — driving a Dodge Nitro and a Mercedes Benz — pulled over at 14 Mile and Greenfield around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday following what both described as road rage. The Nitro driver, a 34-year-old from Livonia, reportedly shoved the Mercedes Benz driver, a 44-year-old from Bloomfield Hills.  Birmingham Police arrested a Waterford woman last week on drunk driving charges. Aren't police able to track the phones IMEI numbers essentially rendering them useless? Since Verizon is CDMA I wonder how they plan to use these phones seeing as how they can't simply switch the sim card. Maybe they'll sell them abroad?   more ›

Woman Driving Wrong Way Nabbed for Drunk Driving, Decorative Fence 'Decapitated'

Check out the latest reports from the Birmingham Police Department: Birmingham Police arrested several drivers in Birmingham over the past week for drunk driving, including: A fence-full of decorative horse heads was decapitated sometime last week, Birmingham police report. According to police reports, a resident on the 1800 block of Redding said a decorative fence in his front yard had been damaged. The fence consisted of 20 white poles topped with horse heads connected by chains, reports state. At 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, police officers found several poles had been pulled out of the ground and thrown around the front yard, along with several horse heads and the chains. According to police reports, the man was pulled over around 6:45 a.m. Nov. 18 for speeding on Southfield Road, south of Hanna. Police say the man had a warrant out of Ypsilanti for his arrest, and at the time, was in possession of marijuana. The man was issued a citation for possession of a controlled substance, released on $100 cash bond, given a court date and turned over to the Ypsilanti Police Department. Check out the latest reports from the Birmingham Police Department: Police arrested a 29-year-old Toledo man early Sunday morning after he attemped to flee police. According to reports, officers attempted to stop the man, who was driving northbound on Woodward near 14 Mile, for driving erratically around 4 a.m. The car continued northbound, turning north onto Adams, east onto Maple and north on Eton, the report says. The car finally stopped at North Eton and Yorkshire. Police found marijuana in the car, later arresting the driver on charges of fleeing and eluding, driving with a suspended license, operating while intoxicated and marijuana possession. The following is a roundup of recent Birmingham Police reports: A 55-year-old man from Beverly Hills was arrested Wednesday afternoon at Kroger for allegedly trying to steal two bottles of whiskey. According to police reports, the man was observed by store employees around 4:30 p.m. walking into the liquor aisles and removing two bottles of Gentleman Jack whiskey from the shelf. He then walked to another aisle and put the bottles into his backpack, the reports state. According to police, the man then walked to the checkout lane and purchased a bag of snacks.
