According to police reports, the pair were pulled over on Woodward, just south of Hazel, around 1 a.m. Tuesday for driving erratically. Police discovered THC oil — a concentred form of marijuana — drug parapheranalia and an open bottle of whiskey in the car. Police arrested a Beverly Hills 21-year-old after he hit two cars on 14 Mile, ended up on a front lawn and then fled the scene.
Birmingham Police arrested a Beverly Hills man earlier this week on drunk driving charges after he drove his Ford Mustang up and onto a front lawn on 14 Mile Road. Police officers were first dispatched to 1100 block of 14 Mile Road around 1 a.m. Tuesday to investigate a hit-and-run accident. According to reports, a Mustang had lost control making a turn, crashed into two cars and ended up on a resident's front lawn. The car then fled the scene, police say. However, officers were able to follow the fluid trail to a home on the 1000 block of Chapin and found the driver, a 21-year-old man from Beverly Hills. According to police reports, the items belonged to a 33-year-old Troy woman who was at the bar Saturday night and into early Sunday morning. The woman told police she left the handbag (with her phone inside) in her booth while she walked around the bar, sometime between 1:30-2 a.m. When she returned, the bag was gone, she said. Officers arrest a pair of Sterling Heights drivers and a Royal Oak woman for driving under the influence of alcohol.
It was a busy couple of evenings for the Birmingham Police officers on duty last weekend, after they arrested three individuals, two from Sterling Heights and one from Royal Oak, on drunk driving charges. The first incident occurred around 3 a.m. Thursday, police reports say. Officers pulled over the driver — a 21-year-old from Sterling Heights — for speeding near Big Beaver and Adams. Officers discovered his blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit and, upon arresting him, issued him a citation for operating while intoxicated. The first incident occurred around 3 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 near the intersection of Eton and Holland. Police were called to the scene of an accident and found a car had skid off the road and hit a tree.
