Police Catch Teen With Marijuana, Drunk Customer Arrested Outside Dick O'Dow's

Check out the latest reports from the Birmingham Police Department: A 19-year-old from Bloomfield Hills was given a citation last weekend for marijuana posession. According to police reports, the teen was pulled over on Woodward for driving without his headlights at around 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4. After talking to the teen, the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana and later found two bottles of marijuana in the vehicle, reports state. The teen was cited for possession of a controlled substance, given a $100 bond and released with a court date. Someone stole a number of gold jewelry items from a home on Southfield, one resident says. According to police reports, four handmade gold bracelets and one gold locket have gone missing from …

Church Volunteer's Wallet Stolen, Drunk Driver Arrested at Peabody Parking Garage

Check out the latest reports from the Birmingham Police Department: Police are investigating after a voluneer at the First Baptist Church reported that her wallet was stolen while she was painting the church's nursery. According to police reports, the theft occurred around 10 a.m. Monday. Another volunteer said around that time, they saw a man with dirty blond hair go into the nursery. The wallet was later found at a psychiatrist's office on North Old Woodward with only $11 in cash missing. A drunk driver was arrested at the Peabody Street Parking Garage last Friday. Check out the latest reports from the Birmingham Police Department: Police arrested a Plymouth man early on Halloween morning after witnesses say he tried to break into a car while intoxicated. According to police reports, a homeowner on the 1500 block of Ruffner had his vehicle parked on the street, locked and running. Upon leaving his house around 7:20 a.m., he saw the man trying to open his car door. The man then fled the area, witnesses say, heading north on Torry. The responding officer intercepted the man near Torry and Holland. The man — later determined to be a 30-year-old from Plymouth — tried to resist officers and appeared intoxicated, reports state. Woman Tries to Slap Police Officer; Car Window on Woodward Broken Out

Check out the latest reports from the Birmingham Police Department: Birmingham Police are investigating after a vehicle parked in the 800 block of N. Woodward was found with its right rear window broken out. The incident happened between 8 p.m. on Oct. 8 and 9:45 a.m. on Oct. 9.  It is unknown as to what was used to break the window out. Birmingham Police were called to a residence on the 1700 block of E. 14 Mile Road for a family dispute. When they arrived, a 27-year-old female who resided in the home appeared to be intoxicated. Police Find Man Sleeping in Strange Car, Break Up Teen Fight

Check out the latest reports from the Birmingham Police Department: A 32-year-old man from Bloomfield Hills was arrested last Friday night after he was found sleeping in a strange car in the Pierce Street Parking Structure. According to police reports, officers were notified by the car owner around 9:30 p.m. that there was a strange man sleeping in the back seat of his car, which was parked on the top level of the parking garage. The car, police said, had been left unlocked. According to police, the man had been drinking that night and was still intoxicated when discovered. Suspected Drunken Driver Gets Stuck in Median; Women Arrested Outside South Bar

The following is a roundup of recent Birmingham Police reports: Birmingham Police arrested a 20-year-old from Sterling Heights on Sunday night on suspicion of drunken driving after he got stuck in the median on Woodward Avenue. According to police, officers responded to a call around 11 p.m. that a car was stuck in the center median on Woodward near the Maple Road intersection. When officers got there, the driver said he spun out when he pulled out of the Speedway gas station and became stuck in the median. The man was taken into custody and then to St. Joseph Mercy Oakland hospital in Pontiac for a blood sample to determine his alcohol level. Teens Arrested with Air Gun, Marijuana; Kroger Shoplifting; Wheel Cover Thefts

The following is a roundup of recent Birmingham Police reports: A Troy teen was arrested on disorderly conduct charges early Monday morning following a public argument at the corner of Torry and Webster. According to police reports, witnesses reported seeing two groups of young men yelling at each other around 6:55 a.m. Monday. One of the boys appeared to have a handgun, the witness said. The teen with the suspected handgun got into a car with two others, then drove away, reports state. Responding officers stopped the vehicle at Villa and Adams, and according to reports, officers found a black, soft, plastic air gun with the orange tip removed in the car. The following is a roundup of recent Birmingham Police reports: Two men were arrested Monday afternoon for trying to steal Red Bull, baby forumla and Pampers diapers from Kroger. According to police reports, officers watched one of the men push a full cart out of the store without paying for the items around 3 p.m. Employees confronted the man, who then ran toward a waiting car with a second man in the driver's seat. The car wouldn't start. The first man then ran into the neighborhood north of the store while the second man was caught by responding officers while he was still in the car. The following is a roundup of recent Birmingham Police reports: Two 17-year-old boys from Birmingham were arrested early Sunday morning and charged with larceny after police say the broke into several cars in the 300 block of Fairfax. According to police reports, a resident on that block watched a young man enter his vehicle around 1:25 a.m. Sunday. The man appeared to remove items while another young man waited near the sidewalk, the resident reported. The resident then watched the first young man go across the street and enter another vehicle. The following is a roundup of recent Birmingham Police reports: Police arrested a Birmingham man early Tuesday morning after a domestic dispute turned into a hit-and-run incident on Pierce Street. According to police reports, the man's wife was allegedly driving to the Birmingham police station around 3 a.m. from Southfield, where she claimed her 22-year-old husband assaulted her. While driving up Pierce Street from 14 Mile Road, however, the wife told police her husband hit her car while following her in his own vehicle. Officers later found and arrested the man at his home.
