Two Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Woodward Avenue Wednesday
Police said they suspect alcohol was a factor in the evening crash that shut down the northbound lanes of Woodward near Lone Pine Wednesday.
Officials with the Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety said a man already facing drunken driving charges for a previous incident is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol when he caused a wrong-way collision on Woodward Avenue Wednesday evening. The 20-year-old Rochester Hills man, who was not identified in police reports, was hospitalized along with another driver with serious injuries, according to a statement prepared by Lt. Noel Clason. The injuries are not believed to be life threatening, and the man is not in custody while charges are pending.
