Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center Appoints New President, CEO
Annie VanGelderen, who has been serving as the center's interim head since June 2011, was named president and CEO Wednesday afternoon.
After more than six months of working under a temporary administration, the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center (BBAC) now has a new president and CEO. On Wednesday afternoon, Annie VanGelderen was named president and chief executive officer of the art center. VanGelderen has been serving as the center's interim president since June 2011. VanGelderen, a volunteer and board member for the BBAC for 10 years, replaced Addie Langford last summer, who left for undisclosed reasons. BBAC board chairman Joshua Sherbin made the announcement Wednesday.
