I thought this place was great. Enjoyed the whole atmosphere and bought $400 worth as gifts for clients, mostly the 15 year old balsamic. One of my clients mentioned to me that the cork separated from the rest of the bottle cap. When he tried to extract the cork with a wine bottle opener, the cork disintegrated. My client ended up having to push the cork into the bottle to get the vinegar out. He now has a $17.95 bottle of aged vinegar with tin foil over the top of it. When he pours out the vinegar, little bits of cork come out as well. I called Olde World Olive Press (Birmingham) and left a message 3 days ago. As of now, no one has called me back yet. Pretty sure after 3 days I won’t be hearing back. Disappointed about the problem with the cork, but I understand that problems happen. Most disappointed that no one called me back yet. It could have been great.
