Led by Rev. John Judson, the First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham is located off West Maple Road and offers a variety of services for members and visitors. The church is the home of five choirs and several instrumental ensembles, ministries for youth and adults, charity events, and various missionary opportunities. First Presbyterian also has a Disability Inclusion Ministry, with teachers prepared to aid those with special needs.

Hand in Hand Early Learning Center is located within the church. It is a state and city licensed education program for children aged four months to five years-old. They also offer a Young Fives Half Day program.
