Birmingham Department of Public Services
The Department of Public Services for Birmingham is responsible for maintaining streets, public property, city parks, two golf courses, an ice arena and the city's sewer and water systems. The department is also in charge of planting and maintaining the dozens of flower beds scattered across the city, including flower beds, merchants' flowers, more than 100 hanging baskets and approximately 30 concrete planters.
Public Services also coordinates the "In the Park" summer concert series.
