See Wild Lights This Weekend at the Detroit Zoo

The zoo illuminates the holiday season with two million LED lights.

This weekend marks the final time local residents can see the more than two million twinkling LED lights illuminating buildings, animal sculptures and trees at the Detroit Zoo

See the Wild Lights through Jan. 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weeknights and Sundays and 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The spectacular holiday light display covers the animal sculptures and trees through the front of the Zoo, presented by Bank of America. 

“The Polar Express 4-D Experience,” a 14-minute adaption of the movie starring Tom Hanks will be shown exclusively during Wild Lights at the Wild Adventure Zone’s 4-D Theater. Also showing showing at the Wild Adventure Zone’s Simulator Ride will be “Happy Feet: Mumble’s Wild Ride.”

Admission is $8 per person in advance and $10 at the gate for ages 2 and up (under 2 free); parking is $5 per car.
